In 2008, the Norwegian company Million Handshakes was bought by Portrait Software. The product Million Handshakes, now called Portrait Campaign Manager, supports automated campaign management across multiple channels and is probably the most advanced and complete tool available on the market today. 

Portrait Campaign Manager provides functionality, among other things, for e-mail marketing, text messaging, telephone marketing, dialogue marketing, loyalty management, management of feedback from clients, data collection, automation of campaigns and much more.

The aim is to be able to respond rapidly to customer needs and manage all multi-channel campaigns in a single place. 

A great deal relies heavily on automating flows and processes and allowing for the personalisation of all communications that flow externally out of a company. The software is often linked together with other systems such as a CRM system upon implementation.
